These majestically designed Gold coins contain 1/10 ounce of fine Gold. This year's 2011 Gold Britannia coin features a new reverse design depicting a seated version of Britannia with a billowing Union Jack cleverly superimposed in front of her. At the heart of the billowing Union Flag, Britannia appears seated with a trident and shield, in the style of the classic image on pre-decimal pennies since Charles II. The design is the work of David Mach and represents a very patriotic approach to the bullion coin's reflection of British culture.
